How to become a KDA Member Online

Then, go to the webpage "Join KDA"

Select your membership(s) and add them to your cart.

Purchase your membership and confirm with receipt in your inbox.

Look for the KDA e-blast monthly, usually sent out every few weeks. Contact us if you have any issues or questions!



The Kentucky Dressage Association hosts multiple recognized and schooling shows each year for our members and dressage competitors in the region. KDA recognized shows offer all levels along with Jr/YR, Young Horse and Developing Horse classes at the Kentucky Horse Park. Our
schooling shows offer traditional dressage classes plus western dressage classes and are a great place for competitors to gain experience in the show ring. At the KDA May Shows there is additional prize money offered to our members. Please refer to the Prize List for full details and benefits.


USDF GM Member

All KDA members become a GM member of USDF, receive the bi-monthly USDF Connection magazine and all other benefits the PM membership includes.


Grants and Scholarships

Each year KDA presents a total of five grants to our Junior, Adult Amateur and Open members to assist in their dressage training. KDA also offers a college scholarship and a $5,000 Junior/Young Rider Grant to help a junior member striving to improve and show in the Jr/YR competitions.



KDA’s bi-monthly newsletter, The Implusion, is sent to all members electronically. This newsletter keeps our members informed of KDA events, highlights members successes and
provides educational articles for all to share.



KDA realizes practice is the source of ring success and also key to improving a riders dressage ability. We offer multiple sponsored clinics each year with reduced fees and priority enrollment for our members to help everyone achieve their training goals.


Year-End Awards

The KDA Year-End Awards Banquet is an opportunity for us to showcase our memberships achievements through out the year both from the show ring. In addition to offering awards in traditional dressage, western dressage and breed classes, we also offer special awards such as the Merry Midnight Award for . a top volunteer, The Presidents Award, which goes to the top scoring member at our May Show, top Vintage Riders achievements are recognized, The Repunzal Perpetual Trophy is presented to the highest scoring mare, a high scoring breed show winner is crowned and recognition to the highest scoring pony are some of the other awards we offer, all during a fun social evening.
