Photographer/Videographer Application
KDA is now accepting applications for private photography/videography. Applications will close two weeks prior to start of specified event. Private photographer/videographer is defined as any individual who will be taking pictures and/or creating social media content for show competitors who are not the owner or family member of the competitor.
Private photographer / videographer credentials for the 2025 show season will be limited to ten professionals on a first-come, first-served basis. Each photographer is limited to a client list of no more than ten individual horse/rider combinations to be submitted at least one week prior to the start of the event to KDA Administration. Private photographer client lists will be provided to the OP for review.
Private Photographer / Videographer / Content Creator Guidelines
KDA requires all private photographers/videographers /content creators to apply for a private photographer/videographer credential if they plan to give or sell their photos for exhibitor/competitor use.
A private photographer/videographer credential is separate and distinct from a media credential.
A private photographer/videographer credential at KDA is $500.00 per shooter with no discount for additional photographers. An assistant photographer requires a separate application form.
A certificate of insurance is required for all private photographers/ videographers, naming the Kentucky Dressage Association as additional insured with liabilities totaling one million.
Any approved private photographer may not solicit new clients beyond the client list submitted at time of approval. You may not randomly take pictures of riders/horses and/or volunteers not on your list and gift/sell these photos. Private portrait sessions are prohibited.
You must visibly wear your Private Client Photography Pass at all times.
The official photographer and staff, have positioning priorities outside the arenas and exclusive access to inside the arenas.

Application fee will be forwarded to the Official Photographer to compensate for lost income.
